1. Money deducted without Order Confirmation mail or Order ID.
My money has been deducted from my Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking Account. However, I have not
received an Order Confirmation mail or an Order ID from BookVistas. What should I do?
Such cases are rare and generally happen when one is paying through Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net
Banking and are commonly due to slow internet connections or if the payment process is interrupted by
the customer by clicking the Back, Stop, or Refresh button. To know why this happens, we must know how
Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking payment works: once the customer selects the payment option and
clicks the “Pay Now” button, the BookVistas website redirects the customer to the bank’s website/payment
gateway where he/she makes the payment. Once the payment process has been successfully completed, the
bank redirects the customer to the BookVistas website, where the order is placed after the payment is
verified. Once this is done, a confirmation page is displayed on the customer's screen and the Order
Confirmation mail is sent to the customer's registered email address.
What goes wrong? To place a successful order, it is essential that the customer is redirected back to
BookVistas from the payment gateway as it is essential for BookVistas to know that the payment process
has been successfully completed and the Order ID generated. However, at this stage, if there's a problem
such as a power failure, slow internet connection, the customer clicking the Back, Stop, or Refresh
button and the connection or the payment process is interrupted, BookVistas does not know if the payment
has been made and is also unaware that the customer's account has been charged/debited. In such cases,
an Order ID is not generated by BookVistas. However, you need not panic or get worried. Kindly inform us
of this problem immediately via email at email@example.com by providing the following
- Date and approximate time of the transaction.
- Mode of payment: Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
- Name of the bank.
- Deducted amount.
- Ordered title(s).
- Selected shipping method.
- Shipping address.
Your order shall then be traced and processed as soon as possible.
2. What happens after my order is placed?
After your order has been successfully placed, you will receive an automatic email from BookVistas
containing a detailed account of the title(s) ordered, shipping and billing addresses, the shipping mode
selected, Order ID, mode of payment, and the total amount of your order.
Your order shall then be processed as soon as possible. No further action is required on your part.
3. When will my order be shipped?
Your order will be shipped in 1-3 days.
4. When will I receive my order?
- Registered Post (3-7 days)
- Courier (1-2 days)
- Express (2-4 days)
- Expedited (7-10 days)
- Standard (10-15 days)
