This book is a compilation of the edited papers presented in the conference, based on the theme of Computational Intelligence, organised in May, 2009. Computational Intelligence is an offshoot of Artificial Intelligence. Computational Intelligence combines elements of learning, adaptation, evolution and fuzzy logic (rough sets) to create programs that are, in some sense, intelligent.
This book has been divided into four sections and has 51 chapters. The First section discusses various strategies and IT techniques for Organizational Excellence and has eight chapters. In the era of IT, the issues of social relevance such as, e-governance, agricultural information system, and computer-aided voting need to be handled effectively. These issues have been discussed in detail in this section. The Second section is on Computational Intelligence and has 18 chapters. Artificial Neural Network is a branch of Computational Intelligence that is closely related to machine learning. In this section, papers on NLP, Data Modelling, and AI applications have been discussed.
The Third section of the book deals with Networking and Data Security and has 12 chapters. The Fourth section deals with Data Mining and Data Warehousing and has 13 chapters. This compilation is aimed to provide relevent information regarding the new emerging issues in the field of Information Technology.
